Zinedine Zidane confirmed that both Sergio Ramos and Isco Alarcon will travel with the squad to face Levante this Saturday —20:45— after recovering from the injuries they picked up in the return leg of the Copa del Rey Quarterfinals against Leganes.
“They have not had any issues. Isco and Sergio will be with the rest of the group. You’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see who is going to play,” said Zidane.
It would make sense to give Ramos and Isco some more time so that they could be fresher and even healthier when Real Madrid face PSG in two weeks. Both players could increase Real’s chances of earning the ticket to the next round of the Champions League and it would not make sense to rush their recoveries in La Liga now that Los Blancos are no less than 19 points behind Barcelona in the table. All things considered, they should not be expected to feature in Madrid’s starting lineup.
