Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio did not train with the squad this Friday and will almost surely miss Saturday’s home match against Alaves as he got a wisdom tooth extracted yesterday. Luckily enough for Real Madrid, this is not an injury and Asensio will be able to play next week.

Asensio has been a crucial player for Zinedine Zidane lately and could even feature in Real Madrid’s starting lineup when Los Blancos visit Paris Saint-Germain in the return leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16. It’s clear that he will be one of the team’s cornerstones in the future and it seems that Real Madrid will build the team around him as reports indicate that Los Blancos will sell Gareth Bale next summer.

Real’s home game against Alaves should be a good chance for Zidane to keep using his reserves, although other players like Navas and Cristiano Ronaldo will most likely return to the starting lineup.
