Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar Jr. injured his ankle during the match against Marseille and might be forced to miss the return leg against Real Madrid in the Champions League’s Round of 16.

The Brazilian star couldn’t walk off the pitch and had to be stretchered off while in tears, suggesting that his injury could be serious enough to make him miss the crucial match at the Parc des Princes.

However, coach Unai Emery revealed after the game that the club remains optimistic about this injury and also that the player has a chance to feature.

It’s clear that Neymar is the leader of PSG, and considering that the French club need to get a two-goal win against Madrid in order to advance to the next round, this would be a dramatic loss for PSG and obviously good news for Real Madrid, who are currently trying to recover Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Marcelo in time for that game.

Still, nobody likes seeing great players suffering injuries and it would be better for Madrid to beat PSG with Neymar on the field.
