Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane spoke to the press ahead of the team’s away game against Espanyol, which will be played this Tuesday —20:00 CET—. Zidane spoke about Madrid’s good form and also about PSG’s Neymar, who is questionable to face Real Madrid next week after picking up an ankle injury last night.

“I don’t like to see players getting hurt, I hope he can play next week. I’d never wish that a player misses a game with an injury,” said Zidane.

Bale completed a good performance against Alaves and Zidane shared his thoughts on the Welsh attacker.

“He’s fine, as always, but it’s true that he’s better every day, which is what we all want, we want Gareth to be at 100%. He scored but that is not the most important thing, his overall performance was very good,” explained the coach.

Finally, Zidane also updated the condition of Kroos, Modric and Marcelo, who are injured and might miss the team’s trip to Paris next week.

“They’re still recovering, they’re working very hard but not with the rest of the team just yet,” said Zidane without diving into whether they will be ready in time or not.
