Real Madrid struggled once again a week after their good display against Valencia. Los Blancos couldn’t earn more than a draw last night on their visit to Levante and they let a 1-2 lead vanish with just one minute to go in regulation. Team captain Sergio Ramos had some words to say about the team post-game.
“There are a lot of analysis to be made, it’s true that sometimes it looks like we’re in control of the game but they needed just one chance to get in front of Keylor. We have to pay attention to those plays because they will be crucial in the Champions League, where we’re still alive,” said Ramos.
“It’s not normal to be this far from Barcelona, we’ve done something very wrong. We let so many points go in matches where we have the lead, this has been one of our worst seasons ever, but nobody will quit and we need to step up in these situations, it’s the only thing we can do to actually achieve something in the Champions League,” he added.
Just when Real Madrid thought that they found a system they could trust, Los Blancos are back in square one just 10 days before hosting PSG in the Champions League’s Round of 16.
