Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic is on Manchester United’s radar for summer’s transfer window alongside Arturo Vidal, according to The Guardian. While Real Madrid still think the player has a great future ahead of him and wouldn’t like to sell the player, a good offer from the Red Devils could actually change the board’s mind now that they signed Dani Ceballos last summer.

Kovacic isn’t enjoying as many playing opportunities as some expected after his brilliant performances last season, although it’s also true that he spent the first third of the campaign injured.

Still, he’s only 23 years old and has plenty of room for improvement, especially when it comes to his IQ and understanding of the game. Real Madrid paid around €35 million for Kovacic two years ago and it’s clear that he would be more expensive than that now. If United really want to see Madrid giving up on Kovacic they will have to send a big offer.
