Just a few months after Isco signed a contract extension with Real Madrid, El Chiringuito de Jugones’ Josep Pedrerol reported last night that the player will be sold if coach Zinedine Zidane stays with Real Madrid past this summer. Apparently, the French coach “has had enough” and Isco’s role with the team will not be relevant until the end of the season.
¡EXCLUSIVA de @jpedrerol! "ZIDANE ESTÁ DECEPCIONADO CON ISCO. Si no cambian las cosas y sigue como técnico, VA A PEDIR QUE LE VENDAN A FINAL DE TEMPORADA" #ElChiringuitoDeMega pic.twitter.com/Yai9KBFpAe

A similar situation happened when Zidane became Real Madrid’s coach. Neither James nor Isco were on Zidane’s plans but the French coach ultimately had to trust the midfielder when Gareth Bale got injured. Isco responded and his performances during the final third of the 2016-2017 season were nothing short of brilliant.
Still, Isco hasn’t played that well this season and it seems that Zidane has blamed him for Real’s recent struggles. Whether that’s actually fair or not is an entirely different question, but it seems that Isco won’t be with Real Madrid if Los Blancos trust Zidane as their coach for next season.
