Bayern Munich attacker Robert Lewandowski said today that he is “not interested” in the reports suggesting he will make himself available for Real Madrid next summer.
“I’m really not interested in these rumors and I don’t want to say anything else because we’re talking about this matter every single year,” said Lewandowski.
The attacker is right, it seems that he’s somehow always on Real Madrid’s radar. Lewandowski is under contract with Bayern until 2021 and needless to say the German side won’t allow him to leave the club unless a big offer comes their way. Considering that the Polish striker is 29 years old, it’s not very likely that Madrid pull the trigger for him even though it’s clear that they will be upgrading their offensive line next summer.
Other players like Mauro Icardi or Harry Kane appear to be higher on Real Madrid’s list, although many things could change after the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup, a good opportunity for Real’s scouts to take a look at the world’s best talent.
