Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane publicly denied El Chiringuito’s report, which suggested that he will try to sell midfielder Isco Alarcon next summer.
“I want Isco to spend all his career here. That will not change. He is a very good footballer, he has shown that and can always show that. So El Chiringuito’s report is a lie,” said Zidane, even mentioning the TV show.
“Today you’re asking me about Isco, next day you’ll be asking me about Asensio and then about Ceballos. I trust and want all of them to stay,” added the French coach when asked about Isco once again.
Real Madrid host Real Sociedad just a few days ahead of the crucial match against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, but Zidane refused to talk about next Wednesday and focused all his words on Saturday’s fixture.
“There are three points at stake tomorrow and that is all we care about, we’re not thinking about Wednesday’s match,” explained the coach, who will have to find the right balance between allowing his players to have fresh legs against PSG while also taking care of business and earn some confidence when Real Sociedad visit the Bernabeu.
He also had some interesting words to say about the team’s recent struggles.
“We have to think that we can do everything right, we have a very good squad and we will try to overcome the challenge ahead of us. No matter what happens, we know that we can turn things around and I want the fans to be beside us and I know they will be,” concluded the coach.
