BREAKING: Marcelo trains with the squad, will face PSG

Real Madrid defender Marcelo rejoined the squad in Thursday’s training season and appears to be ready to face Paris Saint-Germain next week. Coach Zinedine Zidane will almost surely play it safe and keep Marcelo away from the team when Los Blancos host Getafe this Saturday so that he can have a few more days to get in shape for the crucial visit to Paris.

Marcelo’s presence will be huge for Real Madrid. The Brazilian star completed a brilliant performance in the opening leg and even scored the team’s third goal. He’s a key starter for Zinedine Zidane and it’s clear that his return increases Madrid’s odds of playing in the next round of the European competition.

Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are still recovering from their injuries and while the Croatian midfielder could be ready in time for the game, Kroos is more questionable and might need some more time to recover, according to reports.
