Modric and Kroos will remain a game-time decision until the very end

Midfielders Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are still trying to recover in time for the crucial match against Paris Saint-German which will be played next Tuesday. Both Kroos and Modric will have to wait until the very end to know if they can actually feature, as they won’t be ready to face Getafe this Saturday.

While they would provide a boost for Real Madrid’s chances, coach Zinedine Zidane should not risk them unless he is 100% sure that they won’t get injured once again during the match.

If they aren’t ready, Casemiro, Kovacic and Isco will likely be the ones commanding the midfield, although Asensio and Lucas Vazquez could also get a chance if Zidane decides to play with a 4-4-2 formation with only Casemiro and Kovacic in the center of the pitch.

The good news for Real Madrid is that Marcelo will be ready to face PSG as the Brazilian defender rejoined the squad in Thursday’s training session.
