Hadjuk Split goalkeeper Karlo Letica is on Real Madrid’s radar to upgrade that position next summer, according to a report from MARCA. The Croatian goalkeeper has addressed those rumors a few days after that report was published.
“I saw that front page and I turned my cellphone off. It was a matchday and you only want to stay calm in order to be ready for the game. I usually turn it off anyway but even more so that day, I was only thinking about our match against Istra. It’s clear that the news caught my off guard and I’m a bit surprised,” said Letica.
The goalkeeper remains committed to his current team and will not talk about his future, however.
“It’s not the time to talk about this, I just want to keep working for my team and nothing else,” he concluded.
Real Madrid would be considering the signing of Letica to keep Keylor Navas as the starting goalkeeper for at least one or two more seasons, as they think that Navas has been performing well enough to keep that role until he clearly enters his decline.
