The date for the upcoming Madrid Derby between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid has been confirmed. The last Derby of the season will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, April 8th and will kick off at 16:15 CET —10:15am EST—.
That will be a tough week for Real Madrid as Zinedine Zidane’s men will take on Juventus for the return leg of the Champions League Quarterfinals on Wednesday, April 11th, having visited the Juventus Stadium on April 3rd for the opening leg of the tie.
Zinedine Zidane will need to use his squad accordingly if he wants to keep his players fresh for all three of those games. While it’s clear that the Madrid Derby against Atletico will be fairly meaningless in terms of the standings in La Liga, Los Blancos will not take that match lightly as the home fans at the Bernabeu will want to see Real beating their neighbors.
