Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic will get some rest when Real Madrid host Getafe this Saturday, according to a report from Jugones. Apparently, coach Zinedine Zidane knows that he might have to start Kovacic if either one of Kroos or Modric can’t recover in time for the crucial match against PSG next Tuesday, so he wants the young midfielder to be completely fresh and ready to go just in case.
All things considered, it looks like Ceballos could feature in Madrid’s starting lineup unless Zidane decides to start both Casemiro and Llorente against Getafe. It’s true that the French coach could also use a three-man midfield of Casemiro, Isco and Asensio with the BBC upfront, but that doesn’t seem very likely if both Ceballos and Llorente are available to play.
It’s clear that Zidane should probably try to make more rotations when Getafe visit the Bernabeu, given that the team should only focus on the Champions League right now.
