Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez, who is now one of the club’s ambassadors, will coach the Juvenil B team, according to MARCA. Apparently, this is what the former player has decided to do from now on. Instead of being a director of football or a member of the team’s board, Raul seems to believe that his place is on the bench.
It is a monumental change for Raul, one that could even grant him consideration to coach the first team in the future, considering how big of a club legend he is. He will still need to get good results, but Raul will probably be given the option to manage the first team just like Zidane, who didn’t shine for Castilla but managed to conquer two straight Champions League titles for Real Madrid.
Guti will be coaching Castilla next season, per that same report, and his results have been so good for Juvenil A and the U19 teams that some reports mentioned him alongside the potential replacements for Zidane shall the French coach leave the club at the end of the season.
