Real Madrid have changed their mind and will offer Ronaldo a new deal this summer. Ronaldo’s current deal expires in 2021 and while the length of the contract will not be changed, his salary could be increased if the Portuguese star and Madrid reach an agreement when they meet after the World Cup.
Los Blancos were reluctant about meeting Ronaldo’s demands considering how badly the team was playing when the season started, but his form has improved drastically and it seems that Real Madrid are admitting that the attacker is still the team’s undisputed leader.
Ronaldo has not given up on the possibility of finishing La Liga as the top scorer and if he can score more goals for Real Madrid in the Champions League it’s clear that Florentino Perez will have to give him the contract he wants. Ronaldo reportedly wants to earn as much as Messi and Neymar after these two players signed their current contracts last summer.
