Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Omar Mascarell has revealed that his agent is talking with Real Madrid about his potential return to the Spanish capital. Mascarell had some words to say about that in an interview with AS.

“I know this matter has been on the papers for quite some time and I also know that my agent is in touch with Real Madrid, but there are two months left in the season and I have to stay focused on the task ahead with Eintracht. However, I can say that Madrid has a special place in my heart because that’s where I grew up, so Madrid will be the best option for me,” said Mascarell.

He also had some ambitious words to say when asked about whether he feels ready to play for this team.

“If I’m being honest, yes. I know how big of a club it is, I was in the academy for so many years. I think I’ve developed quite a lot as a player in Germany. I’m not the same player I was, I’ve improved my football both from a skills standpoint but also physically. I feel good enough to play for Real Madrid, to be honest,” he added.

Apparently, Mascarell could sign as a potential replacement for Casemiro if Llorente ends up leaving on a loan deal.
