Real Madrid playmaker Martin Odegaard, who is spending the 2017-18 season in the Dutch Eredivisie playing for Heerenveen, has confirmed that he will spend this summer with the rest of Madrid’s first team before making a decision about where he should play in 2018-19.

“I will try my very best to finish the season in good form for Heerenveen. I will return to Real Madrid during the summer in order to do the whole pre-season stage with them and then we will see what happens, no decision has been made about my future just yet,” said Odegaard.

It looks like Real Madrid would be keen on sending Odegaard on yet another loan deal, this time to a club in the Spanish La Liga where he could get relevant minutes as a starter and learn the competition in the meantime.

“Another loan deal? It could happen but this is not the time to talk about that. i’ve always said that the most important thing is to play and this is all about finding a team where I can play at the highest level,” added the Norwegian sensation, implying that he acknowledges that it would be extremely tough for him to find minutes with Los Blancos next year.

Odegaard has been completed very solid performances in the Eredivisie so his market could gain some traction during the summer. Clubs like Real Sociedad, Betis or Villarreal could be interested in that kind of young talent.
