Real Madrid wonder kid Vinicius Junior was included in Goal.com’s NxNG as one of the most promising players in world football. The Brazilian attacker is often compared to Neymar but he wants to be a star of his own.
“I don’t want to be another Neymar, I don’t pay attention to those comparisons. I’ve always admired the way he plays and I’m often in touch with him, trying to learn from him when I watch his games. I want to build my own career and make Brazilian people happy,” said Vinicius.
The young player is expected to complete the pre-season stage with Real Madrid next summer but will not join the first team at least until 2019, reports say. It’s clear that he needs quite some time to develop as a player and the 2018-19 season would be too early for him to play the minutes he needs to keep improving.
