FT: Real Madrid dominate PSG and will play in the Quarterfinals of the Champions League after winning 5-2 on aggregate. Great performances from Los Blancos over these two legs as they left PSG exposed. If Real Madrid can keep this up, they will compete for the title.
80th minute: Casemiro gives Real Madrid the lead yet again! Strange goal as Casemiro's shot was deflected. It is now over as PSG need 4 more goals to go through. Madrid taking care of business.
70th minute: Cavani scored PSG's first goal off a very lucky deflection similar to the one Cristiano scored on the first leg. It's 1-1 and PSG will at least try to come back even though they are down to 10 players after Verratti was sent off.
66th minute: Verratti has been sent off for complaining to the referee. He had been booked during the first half. The Italian midfielder lost his composure after PSG turned the ball over and Byrch sent him off. Things are looking good for Madrid. 0-1.
50th minute: CRISTIANO SCORES FOR MADRID! Ronaldo gives Madrid the away goal through a header. Brilliant pass by Asensio to Lucas, who crossed it with his left foot for Ronaldo to score. PSG need three goals to play ET now.
HT: Things are quite even after 45 minutes. PSG had a great chance to score moments before the halftime whistle but he shot instead of delivering an easy assist to Cavani. Looks like Madrid are in control but a single goal could change it all.
31st minute: Mateo Kovacic just saw a yellow card after preventing a counterattack from Di Maria. Fair yellow card and a good one for Madrid considering that it would have been a good chance for PSG.
20th minute: Verratti has been booked after a rough tackle on Varane. Ramos has had the best chance of the game so far off a good cross by Asensio. Areola saved it. Still 0-0.
Real Madrid just published their starting lineup for the upcoming match against Paris Saint-Germain —20:45 CET—.
Real Madrid starting XI: Navas; Carvajal, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo; Casemiro, Kovačić, Lucas; Asensio, Benzema, Ronaldo
Paris Saint-Germain starting XI: Areola; Yuri, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Alves; Verratti, Motta, Rabiot; Di María, Mbappé, Cavani.
Real Madrid hold a 3-1 lead on aggregate so scoring an away goal would be absolutely crucial as it would force PSG to beat Navas three times in order to play extra-time. If Zidane’s men can score two goals tonight, the tie would almost be over as PSG would need to find the back of the net five times in 90 minutes. That’s a good reason why Madrid need to complete a solid offensive performance.
