Real Madrid defender Jesus Vallejo is training with the rest of the squad this Tuesday and appears to be ready to face Juventus in the return leg of the Champions League Quarterfinals after missing the last two sessions.
Vallejo will be needed in the starting XI alongside Raphael Varane given that neither Nacho Fernandez nor Sergio Ramos will be available. If he can’t go, coach Zinedine Zidane could deploy Casemiro or Marcos Llorente in that spot.
The young defender has been solid when given the chance this season but he is still inexperienced so it will be interesting to see how he performs against Juventus’ attackers, who will surely go after him.
Real Madrid just need to take care of their current 0-3 lead on aggregate so they’re the heavy favorites to advance to the next round of the competition, where it seems that they will be facing either Liverpool, Barcelona or Bayern.
