Real Madrid published a medical report on Nacho, who had to leave Saturday’s away match against Las Palmas with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.
Following tests carried out on Nacho Fernández by the Sanitas Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle in the right thigh. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

Nacho is traveling with the rest of the squad to Italy to support his teammates but will not be available to play, meaning that coach Zinedine Zidane will have to trust Jesus Vallejo if either Ramos or Varane have issues during the game. Furthermore, Nacho was also the team’s backup right-back, so the young and inexperienced Achraf Hakimi will have to step his game up if something happens to Carvajal during the game.
While Nacho would’ve been a reserve in this game, his injury is very detrimental to the team’s depth for the defensive line. If everyone stays healthy, Real Madrid will be OK, though.
