Bad news for Real Madrid as defender Dani Carvajal is reportedly set to miss up to two weeks of action with a hamstring injury he picked up during the 1-2 win against Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League Semifinals.
If that's the case, Real Madrid will be without their starting right back in such a big game. Nacho is still not training with the team and would be his potential replacement, so Lucas Vázquez would be forced to play if neither Nacho nor Carvajal can feature.
Real Madrid have a 1-2 lead on aggregate and Lucas Vázquez performed well in that position, but Carvajal's absence would hurt Madrid’s odds even if just a little.
The return leg will be played next Tuesday, so it seems quite impossible for Carvajal to recover in time for that game. Nacho's return could be more likely, though, given that he has already missed significant time with what appeared to be a minor injury.
