Three keys to a Real Madrid win against Juventus

Real Madrid visit Juventus with the season on the line. Los Blancos gave up on La Liga some time ago and the same can be said about their campaign in the Copa del Rey, so they just have to win their third straight European title in order to conquer at least one major title this year. Here are three keys to the game.

  1. Make no big mistakes and play it safe. Juventus, as most Italian teams, know how to turn those mistakes into big profit for them. Just look at their tie against Tottenham, when they were struggling immensely and still managed to score two consecutive goals in just five minutes to turn things around. Real Madrid must keep their focus at all times.
  2. Convert your chances. It feels like this is a big key for just about every match Real Madrid play, but it becomes a bigger one when they’re facing Chiellini and company. Juventus won’t concede many opportunities, that’s for sure, so accuracy will be an important factor at the Juventus Stadium.
  3. Remember there is a second leg to be played. That means that Real Madrid need to be patient even if they’re facing a potential loss tonight. A 1-0 defeat would be bad, but Los Blancos must keep their cool and don’t allow Juventus to counterattack.
