FT: Real Madrid completed a solid performance and deserved to win, but Jan Oblak did just enough to earn Atletico a point. Onto Juve.

62nd minute: Game on the line and Karim Benzema has just entered the field replacing Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese star was clearly aware of his substitution so it's obvious that Zidane and Ronaldo himself had an agreement in place about this.

57th minute: Griezmann makes it 1-1 after an unlucky play inside Real Madrid’s box. The match is leveled again.

53rd minute: Cristiano Ronaldo has scored the opening goal for Real Madrid off a brilliant cross from Gareth Bale. Los Blancos have the lead and deservedly so.

HT: Real Madrid completed a good first half but Oblak and the post saved Atletico. Referee Estrada Fernández has been terrible so far and the sky is blue.

13th minute: Kroos has been booked after just a few minutes. The German midfielder could be frustrated as the referee missed what appeared to be a penalty on him just a few moments earlier.

Real Madrid published their starting XI for the upcoming Madrid Derby against Atletico Madrid in La Liga —16:15 CET—.

Real Madrid starting XI: Keylor, Carvajal, Varane, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Kroos, Kovacic, Lucas Vázquez, Asensio, Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Atletico Madrid starting XI: Oblak; Juanfran, Godin, Savic, Lucas; Saul, Thomas, Koke; Vitolo, Griezmann, Costa.

Los Blancos must stay healthy as they will be playing a crucial match against Juventus next Wedsnesday. Still, this is a Madrid Derby and both teams will surely try their best to win given the intense rivalry they’ve been building over the last few seasons.
