Real Madrid visit Villarreal in what will be the last game of 2017-18 La Liga season. Los Blancos will surely be thinking about the upcoming clash against Liverpool in the Champions League Final and that’s mainly why coach Zinedine Zidane will try to keep each one of his players fresh and ready for that game.

Villarreal have also clinched their presence in the next edition of the UEFA Europa League so this game is meaningless for both sides.

However, Los Blancos should try to gain some momentum and confidence ahead of the Final against Liverpool, even if Zidane admitted during the pre-match press conference that Villarreal and Liverpool’s playing style should not be compared.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Carvajal will get some minutes after recovering from their injuries but Zidane will not take any risks with them. Both men should be more than ready to face Liverpool and this match could be useful to see where they’re at with their conditioning.
