Updated: MARCA now reporting that Zidane will start the BBC of Bale, Benzema and Ronaldo with Isco on the bench. They previously had Isco, Bale and Ronaldo on their match center.
Zinedine Zidane will have to pick two players between Gareth Bale, Isco Alarcon and Karim Benzema for tonight’s Champions League Final against Liverpool. It looks like the Welshman will have the chance to start alongside Cristiano Ronaldo as Isco plays behind the two strikers, according to both MARCA and AS.
Both Spanish outlets are expecting Bale to play, something which would leave Benzema coming off the bench. Bale has been in good form lately but the same can be said about Benzema, who scored twice during the return leg against Bayern Munich, securing Real Madrid’s presence in the Final.
Still, it would be somewhat shocking to see Benzema not playing alongside Ronaldo in this one, given that the Portuguese star is much more comfortable when Benzema is in the starting lineup. Either way, this is just MARCA and AS’ report and the official lineups will be published an hour ahead of the game.
