Isco and Varane train with the squad ahead of El Clasico against Barcelona

Isco Alarcon and Raphael Varane rejoined the squad in training this Saturday and appear to be ready to face Barcelona in El Clasico —Sunday, 20:45 CET—. Both men were reportedly going to miss that game as coach Zinedine Zidane will try to keep his players fresh and ready for the upcoming Champions League Final in Kyiv, but it now seems that they could feature.

Isco picked up a shoulder injury during the opening leg against Bayern Munich and had to miss last Tuesday’s game while Varane was able to complete the game but ended up missing the last two training sessions.

Zidane will address the status of both players during the pre-match press conference and it will be interesting to see if he is going to give them more time to recover given that Madrid have nothing to play for in La Liga. An away match against Barcelona is always important, but the French coach should not take any risks.
