Brazilian wonder kid Vinicius Junior completed what could’ve been his last game fo Flamengo last niht and talked about his future right after the final whistle.
“This club always helped me, they raised me and took me out of Sao Gonçalo, gave me a better life. I can only be thankful to those who helped me since I arrived in Flamengo,” said an emotional Vinicius.
“[Football director] Noval is trying to keep me for another season but it’s not my decision. It’s tough but you can only hope,” he added. “It’s a tough situation because I might be saying good-bye to the best fan base in the world. I didn’t imagine to be a professional player this young and I might play for Real Madrid being 17 years old.”
“Nothing is set in stone but we will know in the upcoming days. My agents, Flamengo and Real Madrid will make the decision,” he concluded.
It’s clear that Vinicius is leaning towards Flamengo if Madrid decide to send him on a loan deal instead of keeping him in the first team. However, it’s also true that it would be wise to send him to an European club so that he can adapt to the rhythm of European football.
