Santos FC president praises Real Madrid over Rodrygo transfer

Santos FC president Jose Carlos Peres praised Real Madrid while confirming to the press that wonder kid Rodrygo Goes will play fo Real Madrid when he turns 18 years old.

“I’d like to highlight that Real Madrid showed a lot of dignity in this transfer. It’s very necessary to highlight this. This was a matter of a big club respecting another big club,” said Peres.

“This is a clean transfer for Santos. Not a single cent will be paid for another part involved,” added Rodrygo’s agent Nick Arcuri, possibly implying that some other transfers were done differently in the past.

“The transfer of our gem Rodrygo is the biggest in the history of America, we did some research and there hasn’t been a transfer of this size,” explained Peres.

Real Madrid reportedly spent €45 million, so it’s hard to explain this last quote by Santos’ president. However, it’s good to know that Real Madrid won’t be in trouble about this transfer. Keep in mind that former Barcelona president Sandro Rosell is in jail because of Neymar’s signing for Barcelona.
