Real Madrid midfielder Isco Alarcon spoke to Cadena SER about the signing of Julen Lopetegui, who will coach the club for the next three seasons.
“This is good news for Real Madrid. I’m very happy for him, he deserves it. He’s a great coach. It’s true that when I wasn’t playing as much as I wanted he helped me a low. I’m sure he will do a great job in Madrid,” said Isco.
Isco was always a key player for Lopetegui even when he wasn’t a starter in Real Madrid, so he has reasons to support his new coach. Lopetegui will be expected to trust Isco in the upcoming season as well.
“I really wish Zidane all the best, he’s done a lot for us winning three Champions League titles,” added Isco about his former coach.
“I don’t know if we need to make many changes. We’ve won many titles with our current players and now we have a new coach who I believe will know how to make the best out of the players. It’s his decision,” concluded Isco.
