Brazil will try to avoid Germany’s historic failure by taking care of business against Serbia. Marcelo and his teammates would be out of the competition with a loss and a Switzerland draw or win against Costa Rica, so they will at least need to get a draw.

Marcelo has been one of Brazil’s leaders but not a single player of the Canarinha has been impressive so far. Neymar was criticized after Brazil’s first game and will need to do much better if he wants to be considered a potential target for Real Madrid as the rumors suggest.

Still, it’s clear that Brazil are not expected to lose this match against Serbia. They are the better team here and they don’t even have the pressure of needing to win the game, so it seems that they have everything ready to play in the Round of 16, no matter if they actually win the group or not.
