Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Neymar away from Paris Saint-Germain this summer. Even Luka Modric told the Brazilian attacker that the players “are waiting” for him, with Neymar smiling back at the Croatian midfielder.
However, Madrid would have to spend more than €222 million to sign Neymar. PSG spent that much money just a year ago and wouldn’t let him go for less right now. Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola revealed that his team will not sign the attacker this summer and that it will be tough for Los Blancos to complete the transfer.
“He will not join Manchester City and I will not coach PSG. Madrid? It’s tough to leave Paris, but anything is possible,” said Guardiola.
The Spanish coach also delivered his thoughts on Zidane’s job with Madrid.
“We [Barcelona] never won three straight Champions League titles. There’s so much pressure and demand going on, he probably left because of some things he saw that he didn’t like,” explained Guardiola.
