Real Madrid midfielder Isco Alarcon wants to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo next season. The Portuguese attacker delivered some surprising quotes questioning his future in the club right after the final whistle in the Champions League Final but then backed down on Sunday and showed a much better attitude.
Isco was asked about these rumors during Spain’s Media Day ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
“Cristiano is the one who has to make this decision. It’s up to him, but of course I hope he stays with us because his contribution is huge,” said Isco.
Unsurprisingly, Isco was also asked about Zidane’s departure. The French coach decided to leave the club after winning three consecutive Champions League titles and caught everyone off-guard.
“I was shocked, it’s something we didn’t expect and it happened so fast. He made his decision and we’re so proud about winning these three titles with him. Now the club has to decide who will replace him,” concluded the midfielder.
