Former Real Madrid players Michel and Fernando Hierro are being considered as candidates to replace Zinedine Zidane in the club, according to a report from AS. Los Blancos are still thinking about Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino but those two deals will not be easy to complete, so that’s why they’re looking at other options.

It doesn’t look like Real Madrid will sign their coach very soon, given that they will surely try to negotiate a deal for Klopp and Pochettino first.

Michel is a free agent after being sacked by Malaga during the 2017-2018 season and would be a questionable choice after his mediocre results in Sevilla, Marseille or Malaga.

On the other hand, Hierro is now the Director of Football for the Spanish Football Federation, so it’s unclear whether he would be willing to accept such a demanding job as Zinedine Zidane’s replacement.

Either way, it looks like Real Madrid will take their time and think well about every single option.
