Cristiano Ronaldo set to leave Real Madrid

According to Portuguese paper Record.

We've seen this many times in the past. According to Portuguese paper Record, Cristiano Ronaldo is determined to leave Real Madrid this summer because president Florentino Pérez didn't keep his promise about extending Ronaldo's current deal. The decision would be irreversible, according to that very same report.

The Italian Serie A, the Premier League or the French Ligue 1 would be potential landing spots for Ronaldo of he finally manages to leave Real Madrid this summer.

Keep in mind that these reports are somewhat familiar. It's clear that Ronaldo wants a new deal and it's also clear that Real Madrid are not willing to meet his demands right now, so Ronaldo could be using the Portuguese press to put some pressure on Florentino Pérez's side. Ronaldo has a €1 billion release clause and Madrid could always refuse to sell the player, so it won't be easy for Ronaldo to leave if that's actually what he wants.

Reports in Spain suggest that Real Madrid CEO José Angel Sánchez met with Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes on Wednesday but both parts didn't manage to find a way out of this situation, so this will be a long summer with plenty of rumors for Madrid.
