EA Sports revealed their FIFA 19 cover on Thursday and it features Cristiano Ronaldo wearing Real Madrid’s jersey for the 2018/19 season. While this doesn’t solve anything about Ronaldo’s situation with the club, it’s the first time we see Ronaldo actually wearing that jersey, given that he still doesn’t feature in Real Madrid’s Official Store like the rest of the squad.
Again, whether Cristiano Ronaldo will end up staying with Real Madrid this summer or not is yet to be seen. FIFA’s cover doesn’t mean much as EA Sports can change it before the game actually launches as 2k Sports did with NBA 2k when Kyrie Irving left the Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Boston Celtics last year.
Reports from Spain and Portugal indicate that Ronaldo is indeed considering his departure from Madrid as contract talks to increase his salary have failed so far. Ronaldo reportedly wants to match Neymar and Messi’s current salaries.
