Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah spoke to MARCA and replied to Sergio Ramos, who said that Salah “could’ve completed the Champions League Final had he taken some painkilling injections.”
“That’s funny...” said Salah. “I always say that everything is alright when the one who made you cry is now making you laugh. Maybe he can also tell me if I’m going to be ready for the World Cup?” added the attacker.
“I don’t know...Maybe?” he said when asked about whether his collision with Ramos was unintentional. “It’s true that he texted me but I never told him that I was OK,” he explained.
“That was the toughest moment in my career, I had pain but I was also worried and sad because I couldn’t play the Champions League Final. Shortly after I also thought about the possibility of missing the World Cup and that was devastating as well,” said Salah.
It seems that Salah will recover from his shoulder injury in time for the World Cup in Russia, although the attacker wants to keep his cards close to his chest.
“I’m better now, I hope that I can play the game against Uruguay but that will depend on how I feel when the time comes,” he said.
