Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane conquered the 2018 FIFA World Cup by beating Modric’s Croatia 4-2. Varane talked to Mediaset after the game and said that the promising Kylian Mbappe would be welcomed if he ends up signing for Real Madrid.

“He’s an incredible talent, you all see that. He’s very mature for his age and he’s got an amazing quickness,” said Varane about Mbappe. “I will be happy if he’s on my team,” he added when asked about the rumors saying that Los Blancos might go after him this summer.

Mbappe signed for Paris Saint-Germain last season and has proved himself as one of the most promising players in European football. Not only that, he’s already a special talent, one who could start for Madrid week in and week out while having a big impact. That said, it would take a big offer to sign him away from PSG this summer, so his signing seems to be quite unlikely.
