Lopetegui will keep Ceballos and Marcos Llorente

Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui has decided to keep both Dani Ceballos and Marcos Llorente and has told the club to reject any offer they get for the two midfielders, according to a report from AS.

Both Ceballos and Llorente appeared to be on their way out of the club after the role Zidane gave them last season. Neither midfielder played significant minutes under the French coach and now it seems that Lopetegui will at least give them a chance to make an impact during the pre-season just so they can actually show their worth and fight for the minutes they deserve.

Ceballos could be a good replacement for both Kroos and Modric, especially if Mateo Kovacic ends up leaving the club as he wants. On the other hand, Llorente is the only backup for Casemiro in the current squad, so he could also have relevant minutes whenever the Brazilian midfielder needs to sit.
