Chelsea have joined Real Madrid in the pursuit of Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker, according to a report from Calciomercato.
Alisson seems destined to leave AS Roma this summer and while Real Madrid were considered the favorites to sign him a few weeks ago, it now seems that Los Blancos are not willing to spend the €70 million Roma want to get to let the keeper go.
Liverpool have reportedly dropped their interest and it now seems that Chelsea will go after Alisson knowing that their current goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois might leave as a free agent next summer after refusing to sign a contract extension over the last couple of seasons.
Alisson completed a very good season for Roma and is starting for Brazil in the World Cup, so the Italian club will want to cash in and take advantage of his current form.
