Brazilian attacker Rodrygo Goes, who will join Real Madrid in the summer of 2019, said that he didn’t need to think about joining the club as soon as their offer arrived.

“I spoke at home with my whole family, but from the moment the offer from Real Madrid arrived, it was something I did not even think about,” said Rodrygo in an interview with Folha Do Sao Paulo. “Real are the biggest club in the world. If a proposal comes from Madrid and another team, you have to choose Real Madrid’s regardless of the money,” he added.

Rodrygo also believes that he won’t be a reserve in the club.

“I’m not thinking about spending a season without playing because I have potential. I don’t think that it will happen. I don’t think Vinicius will be a reserve either because of the talent he has,” explained Rodrygo.

However, both Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo will need to take their time in order to adapt properly to European football.
