NBA star Kristaps Porzingis is using Real Madrid’s facilities to recover from the knee injury he suffered last season, he revealed in a video to Players’ Tribune.
“The main reason why I chose Madrid to recover was that I could use Real Madrid’s facilities, one of the best, if not the best club in the world. Here we have all we need and my family is with me to take care of me. I can’t complain about living here,” said Porzingis.
Porzingis plays for the New York Knicks but he also had experience in the Spanish Liga Endesa before joining the NBA. In fact, he played alongside former Real Madrid player Willy Hernangomez, who is now under contract for the Charlotte Hornets.
Real Madrid Basketball captain Sergio Llull recovered from a tough ACL injury last season and said that the facilities are wonderful. The fact that an NBA star chose Real Madrid’s rehab center speaks volumes about the quality of said facilities.
