Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel spoke to the press about the rumors suggesting that the striker Edinson Cavani is willing to join Real Madrid this summer. The German manager all but ruled out said move.
“I think Cavani will stay in PSG, nobody talked to me about it and I believe he will stay, I’m not thinking about him leaving. I talked to him and he didn’t show any kind of interest in leaving the team,” said Tuchel.
Apparently, Madrid had Cavani on their list to upgrade the offensive line because of his experience and his potential price. Cavani completed a brilliant 2018 FIFA World Cup and could be the pure goalscorer Real Madrid need after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. Still, it seems that he is not willing to force his way out of Paris and PSG will not sell him otherwise, so Madrid will have to look elsewhere if they want a striker.
