Juventus mistakenly published a video on Chinese platform Weibo suggesting that a new player will wear number 7 for them next season, all but confirming the signing of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo. The Italian club soon deleted the video but several users proved that it was published for a short amount of time.

Furthermore, Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes told Juve’s directors that Ronaldo will join the club next Tuesday, according to a report from SportsMediaset.

Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be set to leave Real Madrid after nine successful seasons and his departure to Juventus could be announced as early as next week. The Italian side will pay around €100 million for his transfer and Ronaldo would get a four-year contract of €30 million/year.

Ronaldo and Real Madrid could not reach an agreement over a salary raise for the Portuguese player and this ended up bothering the Portuguese star, who felt he deserved to earn as much as Neymar and Messi even though the club argued that he’s 33 years old and still had three years left on his current deal.

If Ronaldo finally leaves Madrid, expect president Florentino Perez to go after a big star to replace him in the starting lineup.
