Real Madrid face Manchester United in what will be Real Madrid’s opening game of the International Champions Cup. While many of the team’s players are still recovering from the World Cup, this will be an opportunity for several senior squad members (Bale, Benzema, etc.) to get some fitness minutes, and for some of the younger squad members to try to make an impression on their new manager.
This is also a prime opportunity for our loyal fanbase at Managing Madrid to make some seriously wild hot takes - our favorite time of year (the first friendly with half the squad missing) to make extreme opinions on players, the new manager, the style of play, and declare the season over or historic in just ninety minutes.
All jokes aside, enjoy the game, keep your eye on the kids, and see if you can pick up anything from J-Lo’s possible style of play.
