Real Madrid left-back Theo Hernandez passed his medical with Real Sociedad this Friday and will join Real Sociedad’s stage in Germany as soon as the deal becomes official, according to AS.

The deal was all but confirmed when Real Sociedad coach Asier Garitano admitted that Theo Hernandez will help his team this season. It now seems that academy player Sergio Reguilon will be Marcelo’s backup while Theo hopes to find minutes as a starter in Real Sociedad to gain the experience and composure he needs to develop as a player.

All in all, Theo wasn’t reliable last season and his performances weren’t good enough to trust him now. However, he still has the potential to be a relevant player for Real Madrid and Los Blancos will surely pay close attention to his games in Real Sociedad, where he will be expected to start on the left side of the defensive line.
