Real Madrid published a medical report on defender Alvaro Odriozola, who will miss Wednesday’s clash against Atletico de Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup Final with a groin injury he picked up during the pre-season stage in the United States.
After the tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Sanitas Medical Services on our player Álvaro Odriozola, he has been diagnosed with a grade one injury in the abductor of the right leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

Luckily enough for Julen Lopetegui, Dani Carvajal appears ready to play and perform. Odriozola should be Carvajal’s backup this season as he’s still very young, but it’s clear that Lopetegui will want to have him at his disposal as soon as possible because he might want to make some rotations early in the season before the conditioning of his players improves later in the season. Odriozola could miss the next few weeks.
