Real Madrid denounce Inter Milan for Modric talks

Inter Milan approached Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric this summer even though he was under contract with Los Blancos. Now, according to reports from Cadena SER and MARCA, Madrid have decided to denounce Inter Milan before FIFA and UEFA.

The transfer market in Italy closed this past Thursday and Modric ended up staying in the Spanish capital. However, Madrid feel like Inter should’ve at least approached them if they had interested in the Croatian midfielder. Los Blancos were going to reject every offer, but that’s how business is done.

Modric is reportedly set to sign a contract extension with Real Madrid which will also give him a significant salary raise after his outstanding performances last seasons and also in the FIFA World Cup, where he led Croatia to the Final. Even though the midfielder is about to turn 33 years old, it seems that he has at least one more good year before entering his decline, that being the reason why Mateo Kovacic left the club on a loan deal looking for minutes as a starter.
