Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui spoke to the press ahead of the team’s opening game of the 2018-19 La Liga season. The Spanish manager said that Los Blancos don’t need to make any signings to compete this year.

“We’re sure that we will be a great team this season and I love the squad and I’m happy with what we have,” he said. ”I think we will see a great Real Madrid and we are going to compete for all the titles with the players we have now,” he added.

Lopetegui also discussed the style of play he wants to implement.

“I want this team to be perfect. We want to master all aspects of the game because that’s what we work for,” he said.

Real Madrid currently have five goalkeepers on the first team —Courtois, Navas, Casilla, Lunin and Luca Zidane— but two of them will leave before the transfer window closes in two weeks.

“One thing I will say is that we’ll not continue with five goalkeepers, we will keep three and will make the decisions about what to do. with the other two,” concluded Real’s coach.
